Interview with Daiki Ishijima san

Could you share about the internship time at Konica Minolta?

It’s great opportunity to know how company oversea work because this is the first time I work in a company. And It’s also help me to know Vietnamese company working environment, and the personality of Vietnamese people when they are working. In my opinion, here has a warmer atmosphere than in Japan. Vietnamese people really separate work and life balance.

During the internship, what impressed you the most?

After working here, I impressed by multifunctional tasks. While realizing the greatness of manufacturing and selling products, I was able to personally experience that this process involves amazing technology and the work of many people.

Do you have the chance to visit and work with customers?

Yes, I had 4 times visiting the customers with service team, and seeing them maintain the machine, it’s help me to understand the business operation.

And any message you want to send to Konica Minolta?

Thank you so much for the past three months. This experience will undoubtedly be a valuable asset for my future. As someone with no prior work experience outside of part-time jobs, everything I encountered here was new to me. Working in an environment surrounded by people from different nationalities, receiving advice, and navigating my tasks through trial and error was an incredibly stimulating experience. Among the Vietnamese interns, I met many talented individuals whom I deeply admire and aspire to learn from. My supervisors were also very warm and supportive, making this an excellent opportunity for growth. At the same time, since I can hardly speak Vietnamese, I conducted my work in English. This experience also made me keenly aware of my own language limitations. Moving forward, while continuing to study Vietnamese, I will also work on improving my English proficiency—particularly in presentations and negotiations—so that I can communicate more effectively and fluently.

I will never forget my experience here! See you in Hanoi!
